Author Bio – Scott Gracie

Scott Gracie, an Australian lighting professional with more than twenty-five years of industry experience. Long before his career began, tinkering with electronics as a teenager sparked his fascination with light.

After school at Randwick North High School in Sydney, Scott studied Electrical and Electronics, which formally introduced him to the lighting industry. Then, in 1998, he started building custom light fittings and lamps in his father’s garage, before formal lighting-design qualifications carried him into project management and design work. He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia & New Zealand, the Colour Society of Australia, the International Dark Sky Association, the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, and the Australian division of the CIE.
