Author Bio – Scott Gracie
Our Wonderful World of Colours introduces young readers to light in a whole new way, and it grew from the same curiosity that has shaped Scott Gracie’s entire career: a wonder at the world of light and colour that began in his early teens, tinkering with electronics as a hobby. That curiosity deepened once he studied Electrical and Electronics after school at Randwick North High School in Sydney.
In 1998, Scott began building custom light fittings and lamps in his father’s garage. Formal lighting-design qualifications later expanded his work into project management and design, and over twenty-five years on, he has worked across infrastructure, commercial and architectural lighting projects throughout Australia. He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia & New Zealand, the Colour Society of Australia, the International Dark Sky Association, the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, and the Australian division of the CIE.
